About Maasai Child Fund

Maasai Child Fund is a community-based organization started with the aim of improving the well-being of disadvantaged children and families in the vast Maasai Mara location. It is geared towards bringing positive impacts on the lives of vulnerable children and their communities. Children need education and equality to thrive.

Maasai Child Fund is a community-based organization started with the aim of improving the well-being of disadvantaged children and families in the vast Maasai mara location.It is geared towards bringing positive impacts on the lives of vulnerable children and their communities. Children need education and equality to thrive.

Dennis Parmuat (co-owner Oseki Maasai mara camp) pioneered the program in the year 2018 with the help of local community, friends support and the 15% profit from his camp to support the needy families with the feeding program, health coverage for the elderly and widows,sponsored some needy children in Semadep and Nkineji Primary Schools.

 

With the little donation from well-wishers, friends and the camp support he was able to initiate transformative projects in the community. The program was registered and brought online to serve as an interface between the community and the rest of the world in sought of synergy and partnership to support the disadvantaged.

 

We are pleased to work with thousands of partners, governments, corporates, sponsors, and donors locally and internationally to help the most vulnerable children and families overcome poverty and enjoy life in all it’s fullness.

Our program will mainly be anchored on three key pillars: Social transformation Sponsorship for the needy and vulnerable children Health coverage for the elderly, widows and needy families Feeding program for the needy families and schools Provision of clean and safe water for drinking Building and renovation of the local primary and secondary schools for basic education Elderly education Economic empowerment Oseki Maasai mara camp, 15% profit goes to the community Bee-keeping project for women groups Village savings/Chamas for women group Youths employment Capacity building Aims at developing and strengthening skills and abilities for the community through periodical training in; Poultry farming Agricultural activities Technical skills for women and youth(Tailoring, hairdressing, plumbing, domestic wiring) Village savings/table banking for women Raising public awareness on climate change.placing women and the youth at the centre as active implementers of health and climate policies Voluntary services to the community and trees planting
